From Chardonnay and Auxerrois vines in shale limestone soils in Hunawihr, the 2020 Zind offers an excellent, exciting bouquet with ripe and concentrated aromas of crushed limestones and lemon peels. This is a medium to full-bodied, dense, lush and tensioned wine with great purity and persistent salinity. The finish is long, intense and full of energy and power as well as mineral grip and tension, with lovely lemon bitters. It's a gorgeous wine. 12.8% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in April 2022.
