Score 85/100 · Drink 1997-2000, Robert Parker, Aug 1997
In great vintages, Giuseppe Rinaldi is capable of producing spectacular wines, but this 1991 Barolo is good rather than inspirational. The advanced medium garnet/ruby color is followed by fully mature aromas of tea, herbs, and sweet, dried cherry fruit. Medium-bodied, and somewhat compressed and pinched on the palate, this spicy, fully mature Barolo should be drunk over the next 2-3 years. Importer: Vinifera Imports, Ronkonkoma, NY; tel.
