Tasting notes
Vecchie Terre di Montefili has done a fine job with this flagship wine, a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Sangiovese. The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Bruno di Rocca is inky black and super concentrated with baked plum, dried blackberry, milk chocolate and toasted spice. Only 2,380 bottles were released. The wine sits heavy on the palate thanks to its ample textural richness and firm tannic backbone. The alcohol content clocks in at a powerful 15.5%. Pair this with a classic Tuscan platter of mixed meats off the grill.

The 2018 Bruno di Rocca, the estate's Cabernet Sauvignon, is packed with inky dark fruit, lavender, cloves, new leather and espresso. Exotic and unctuous, with mind-blowing balance, Bruno di Rocca is another magnificent wine from Montefili.
