Score 89/100 · Drink 2022-2029, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Dec 2022
The 2021 Barbera d'Alba is bright and effusive, with lovely up-front fruit. Floral and spice notes give this charming Barbera a bit of complexity to balance its considerable exuberance.

Impenetrable deep violet crimson. A nose that is still a little closed while hinting at deep, perfumed blackberry and blueberry. Sweet-sour cherry and blackberry fruit on the palate, perfectly balanced by lively acidity and fine tannins. Can age. (WS)
