Huber's 2020 Malterdinger Bienenberg Wildenstein Baden Spätburgunder GG shows a deep and intense nose with pure, concentrated fruit. Firm and with a refreshing structure on the palate, this is a powerful, juicy and persistent Pinot with plenty of salt, substance and power. Tasted (far too warm) in Wiesbaden at the VDP GG tastings in August 2022.

Darker and deeper than the Alte Burg, here ripe black fruit meets a refined floral notes with hints of drying herbs and wet leaves. Wild twiggy notes and a palpable evergreen tension are woven into the juicy palate. Delicate oak adds depth, nuance and charm. (PS)

Stunning nose of sour cherries and fresh herbs with just a whiff of smoke. Very fresh and elegant with a wonderfully light touch to the tannins, this is a joyful pinot noir with more than enough depth to impress. Very long, delicate and precise finish. Drink or hold.
