The 2015 Pinot Gris Altenbourg is a full-bodied, rich and elegant, well-structured Pinot in the medium-sweet style. Bottled with almost 25 grams of residual sugar, it is pretty sweet, intense, creamy textured and finished with a ripe and concentrated fruit. I would keep it for ten, rather 20 years before I had an idea how to pair it with food.

RS 24 g/l. Limestone and clay. Smells creamy and ripe with a light spice overlay. Broad and pear-fruited on the palate. Lovely generous richness of fruit and long too. (JH)
