Tasting notes
The 2021 Where Dreams Have No End is finessed and graceful with a nuanced bouquet that blends white flowers and peach sorbet with hints of vanilla and sweet spice. It’s elegant and supple with silken textures and ripe orchard fruits that flow across a stream of mineral-tinged acidity. The 2021 leaves a spicy concentration and resonance of tart lemon peel while tapering off long and tense. This is a youthfully compact vintage of Dreams, a varietal Chardonnay. Patience will be required.

100% Chardonnay. Intense straw yellow. Great intensity and depth of white and yellow fruit, supported with just a touch of oak. You can sense the greatness of the vintage. The oak also accentuates the fruit on the palate, while being perfectly integrated. Sensational balance. It clearly is Chardonnay but the grape has truly been eclipsed by both origin and winemaking, which is subtle rather than loud. (WS)
This is attractive and fresh with notes of glazed lemons and apples as well as young hazelnuts, spicy herbs and custard. Some spices, too. Full-bodied and layered with steady acidity that gives shape to every detail of the fruit. Some attractive savory nuances here before a mineral finish. It’s complex but a very approachable wine, and already beautiful to drink, yet can hold too. Screw cap.
