The ripe and generously oaked 2015 Dedicado Gran Corte is a blend of Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot from the Valle de Uco. It aged in French oak for 12 months and has notes of prunes verging on over-ripeness. 18,700 bottles produced.

(14% alcohol; aged in new and once-used oak): Bright ruby. Aromas of blackberry, cassis, licorice and bitter chocolate display an intrusive herbal edge; I sense the Petit Verdot component today. At once silky and lively; less dense than the Dedicado Gran Malbec and therefore a bit more penetrating, but with a slight rawness from the barrels. The tannins are rather suave, and the subtly persistent finish offers notes of dusty cocoa powder and spices. Still, a slight weediness gives the back end an edgy quality. I'd give this wine another year in the cellar to sort itself out.
