Score 89/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2012

Moderately saturated medium red. Musky, rather low-pitched aromas of red fruits and underbrush. Brighter and more shapely on entry than the village Chambolle, but with fruit currently overshadowed by saline soil tones. Distinctly fresher and longer on the finish than the village wine, and a bit less dominated by the vintage character.
