Tasting notes
The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaut Saint-Jacques Vieilles Vignes 1er Cru comprises of just one barrel as usual. It offers darker fruit than the regular cuvée, beautifully defined with a touch of bergamot and peony. This blossoms with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannins, a little more sapidity than the regular Lavaut with a long peppery aftertaste.
