Tasting notes
Full bottle 1,646 g. Syrupy and rich. Kahlua, hot chocolate and pomegranate molasses. Outrageously rich, as this wine always is. Everything in OTT spades, from the intensity of the garrigue to the liqueur-like sweetness of the fruit. Nightclub-velvet tannins. More like an espresso martini than a wine… And yet, it is undeniably beautiful. Or maybe a better description is magnificent. (TC)

Tasted from a mini sample bottle. For a white wine, this has a very interesting blackcurrant-juice smell, and even a little bit of orange squash. More oak on the palate than on the nose, but the wine is textured; spiced orange; rich toffee, but also a bitterness. Something like a like of fresh-cut aloe vera sap. Impressive and complex, but also a little hard. This is the wine that won the Sud de France Top 100 Best White trophy. It's impossible to judge it based on this very small sample, but I'm not sure I'd call it the best white wine in the south of France. (TC)
