Tasting notes
Cask sample. Mid crimson. Peppery and black-fruited on the nose. Lovely fruit purity even though the oak is present, adding some sweetness. Powerful, firmly tannic and deliciously savoury on the finish. A highly structured, chewy but balanced wine with impressive length. (JH)

From two vineyards located south of the village, the 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Jouises Vieilles Vignes contains 50% whole bunches. This is (again) quite floral on the nose with peony and incense aromas complementing the light red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins. White pepper and clove infuse the red fruit, though it requires just a little more concentration on the finish.
