The 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet Village comes from two parcels. It has an attractive nose with apple blossom and crushed stone. The palate is fresh and tensile, quite Puligny in style and saline towards the vibrant finish. Excellent.

Pillot's 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet Village is terrific, mingling notes of crisp stone fruit and pear with scents of iodine, smoke and reduction. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and vibrant, it's a characterful, rather old-school white Burgundy that will delight purists.
