Score 91-93/100 · Drink 2025-2044, Neal Martin, Jan 2023
Aged in four used barrels, the 2021 Musigny Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru Blanc has quite a pithy, honeysuckle and melted wax-scented bouquet, very different from other Chardonnays (sometimes more like a fine Pinot Blanc from Alsace!) The palate is very well balanced with a slight viscosity, lively, spicy with ginger and lemongrass, very feisty on the finish. Lovely.
