Score 89-91/100 · Drink 2017-2030, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2014

The 2013 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is bestowed a ripe kirsch and cassis-scented bouquet that bursts from the glass – precocious and intense with a light marine-influence undercurrent. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe tannins, soft and supple in the mouth with a gentle, persistent grip on the powdery finish. Good substance here, if not quite the length of a top vintage.

Mid ruby. Light but subtle perfume. Good balance. Really very light for a grand cru. And with pretty marked acidity. (JR)
