Tasting notes
The 1995 Gran Reserva possesses a deep ruby/garnet/plum color as well as a sweet nose of earth, licorice, black fruits, underbrush, and spicy new oak. In the mouth, it is medium to full-bodied, with refreshing acidity, and outstanding depth, ripeness, and complexity. It should drink well for 10-15 years. Full medium ruby. Raspberry, smoked meat, cocoa powder and rose petal on the complex, expressive nose. Chewy, very concentrated and deep; perfectly harmonious acidity gives this suave, smooth wine a sophisticated texture. A cut above most other wines of the region in sheer polish. Finishes extremely long, subtle and ripely tannic. Superb.
