Score 91/100 · James Suckling, Jan 2018
Some real depth here with dark fruit, shrouded in spicy, toasty oak aromas that lead to a palate with a sturdy, ripe core of blackberries and black cherries and supple, but muscular tannins. Try from 2020.

The Lyonnat 2014 Emotion was laden with too much creamy oak on the nose that tends to occlude terroir expression. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin, masculine in the mouth and furry in texture, although the finish lacks the requisite complexity and sophistication.
