The 2021 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru has a pleasant, light, airy nose with green apple and freshly sliced pear. The palate is fresh and quite spicy on the entry, not a complex Vaudésir but balanced with a tangy, lively finish. There is a slight vegetal element, though it fits in with this Chablis and lends it an almost Sauvignon Blanc-like character! This represents a perplexing showing.
