Score 95/100 · Drink 2024-2050, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Dec 2022
The 2021 Frauenberg Nieder-Flörsheim Riesling GG opens with intense and concentrated, very elegant and pure yellow fruit intertwined with chalky notes. Salty and savory, with highly stimulating and ascetic purity, this is a finely grippy and stimulating Riesling that is much more limestone than Riesling. It is enormously youthful, reduced, pure and naked and ready to be aged for decades. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in October 2022.

Citrus smoke and lime, kumquat, so ethereal as to be nearly evergreen. Herbal, stony with a lithe dark spice and elegant herbal finish. (PS)
