Cathiard's 2020 Chambolle Musigny Clos de l'Orme mingles aromas of raspberries and plums with hints of burning embers, warm spices, rose petals and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, lively and concentrated, its rich core of fruit is framed by powdery tannins.

The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Clos de l'Orme is one cuvée where I felt there was a little sur-maturité with touches of fig and dates infusing the red fruit. The palate is succulent and very ripe, though the acidity maintains the freshness. Quite dense towards the finish, I would just like to see a little more terroir expression here.
