Tasting notes
There’s just one barrel of this Griotte-Chambertin, which Nicolas Potel feels more promising and more than delivers in the glass. With a deep red fruit bouquet of wild berries, raspberry and dark cherry, it’s medium-bodied but opulent, with fine-grained tannins and more crunchy cherry fruit. Fabulously well-balanced, the finish is vibrant with an extraordinary spectrum of fruit. Worth every penny. Gorgeous! One barrel produced.

About the producer

Nicolas Potel is one of Burgundy’s most talented and connected winemakers. He created Maison Roche de Bellene, the négoce arm of Domaine de Bellene, in 2008, using his extensive network in the region to source top-quality fruit for an "haute couture" négociant operation.
