Tasting notes
The medium-bodied 2021 Cornas Granit 30 cannot keep up with the more promising 2022 rendition. Nonetheless, it’s a fruit-driven and refreshing Cornas laced with raspberry, red cherry, crushed violets and spicy nuances. It concludes with solid energy on the bright finish.

The 2021 Cornas Granit 30 showed well and is clearly a solid wine. Ripe black (as well as some blue) fruits are supported by attractive spice and meaty, floral notes. These carry to a medium-bodied Cornas with a pure, layered mouthfeel, bright acidity, and ripe tannins.
Cask sample. Tasted blind. Perfumed nose with a subtle, earthy cigar note. Lively zesty freshness with a pastille-fruit core, gripping tannins and a medium finish. Simple but attractive in its youth. (AC)
