The 2020 Vin Blanc de Palmer has a crisp, primal nose with pineapple, mandarin and touches of lychee, though, to be honest, I have discerned a little more complexity in other vintages. The palate is very well balanced with a slightly honeyed texture. A doppelgänger for an Alsace Gewürztraminer thanks to plenty of lychee fruit, this is a delicious white from Palmer that I suspect will drink better in its youth. Tasted at the château.
