Last Tasted 6/92 This should prove to be one of the great successes of the vintage. The dark ruby/purple color is followed by an unevolved nose that smells like a barrel sample given its big, grapy, jammy black fruit character intertwined with aromas of prunes, damp earth, spices, and meat. In the mouth, there is superb concentration, medium body, integrated soft tannins, and a whoppingly long finish. I would opt for drinking this wine in about 3-4 years. It will keep for 20 or more.
