Cask sample. Complexity on the nose and palate. Plenty of concentration and weight here. Worthy of the premier cru status. Density, purity and excellent acidity to keep all in check. Drinking well already. (AWH)

The 2020 Puligny-Montrachet Les Referts 1er Cru has a well-defined bouquet, the oak here neatly integrated, Granny Smiths, granite and light nettle scents coming through. The palate is fresh and taut with a fine bead of acidity, a little creamy in texture with a touch of orange zest and mandarin on the finish. Very fine.
