2019 Chassagne Montrachet Les Chenevottes

Cask sample. Again, the alcohol seems to be occluding the flavour here. It's sweet and blossomy rather than savoury and definitively burgundian. There is acidity and sweet fruit but not much evidence of the corset endowed by oak ageing. Too much sweetness on the end. (JR)
