Score 97/100 · Drink 2025-2046, Erin Larkin, Wine Advocate, Sep 2025
The 2016 Grenache came from a mild year, and the wine in the glass is so nuanced and fresh. I love the cool mineral detail here‚—the wine has an effortlessness and a seamlessness about it. While the 2012 is drinking just so well today, the 2016 might just be my favorite in the lineup of 2012–2023 so far. It is everything of measure, restraint, length and persistence. 15% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

Light body, restrained red fruit, hot alcohol. Rather self-conscious – almost as if it is deliberately trying to suppress the fruit. Can't hide the alcohol though. Aromatically very simple. (RH)
