Score 85-87/100 · Drink 2021-2026, Neal Martin, Jan 2020

The 2018 Savigny-lès-Beaune Village was taken directly from barrel. It has a pretty black currant and raspberry bouquet, not intense but delineated. The palate is very well balanced with fresh crunchy black fruit. A little rustic in style, perhaps, and the bony finish needs a little more flesh. Fine, but early-drinking.
