Tasting notes
Juicy plum, black cherry, green and black olive. A bit green. The tannins are grainy but not excessive, and there's a nice balance of fruit, savour and structure. (JRL)

After the underperforming 2022 I tasted side by side, the 2021 Crozes-Hermitage is game-on. Vinified with 100% whole clusters, it bursts onto the scene with ripe cranberry, red plum, stemmy funk and pencil shaving notes. Medium-bodied at most, the 2021 packs vivid freshness and lovely substance, checking out with stamina on the savory finish. Give it one more year in bottle.
Eloquent. Correct, ripe yet inky with an undertow of ripe fruit. (JR)
Red and black fruits, spice, ground pepper, and some earth notes all emerge from Graillot's 2021 Crozes-Hermitage, a medium to light-bodied Syrah that stays balanced and enjoyable.
