2020 Le Montrachet

The 2020 Montrachet Grand Cru has an outstanding, mineral-driven bouquet with crushed limestone, petrichor, subtle grilled walnut scents and sea spray. Magnificent! The palate is tensile with a well-judged reduction, what feels like a lower pH than its peers and greater mineralité . Again, maybe just a little alcohol warms the back of the throat on the mirin-tinged finish, but otherwise, this is a very convincing Montrachet that should age well in bottle.
