Tasting notes
The 2020 Saint-Romain Sous Le Château, which usually commences the picking, has a delightful nose with apple blossom and touches of dried apricot. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity; there's a fine edginess here with a very slight reduction on the saline finish. I appreciate the mineralité and poise, and it should age well in bottle.

The terrific 2020 Saint-Romain Sous le Château mingles aromas of orange zest and crisp orchard fruit with hints of baking spices, pastry cream, white flowers and youthful reduction. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and racy, with a bright spine of acidity and a long, chalky finish, it's a weightless, ethereal white Burgundy of real class and distinction.
