Exhibiting notes of ripe cherries, plums, dark chocolate and sweet soil tones, the 2018 Pommard 1er Cru Les Charmots is medium to full-bodied, with lively acids, fine depth at the core and youthfully chewy tannins that render this rather youthfully introverted.

Lightish crimson. Sweet fruit, a little like a fruit pastille or hard candy. Chewy Pommard tannins, but there are not at all tough, just need time. All in embryo and quite hard to assess at the moment. It certainly will need patience. (JH)
