Tasting Notes
The vast majority of the fruit for Boillot’s village Meursault comes from their own vineyards – making it almost a domaine bottling. With no new oak this year, the wine shows a slightly different side of Meursault – yet with all the richness you expect of this village. The nose is chalky and mineral, but the weight of ripe lemon and unctuous apricot fruit fills out the mid-palate. This generous fruit is off-set by almost biting, thrilling acidity and a saline, sea-spray, verging on iodine tang on the long finish.
