Score 94/100 · Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, Jul 2022
From the steep slopes of the Cul de Beaujeu, this is a very fine and rather delicate expression. While initially succulent, it remains light in body and has a sense of quietness while maintaining line and structure. You can expect wild flowers, red apples, nettles and elderflower. Hell, there's even an apricotty character before the salty finish kicks in and a lightly chalky texture resides on the palate.

About the producer

Domaine Francois Cotat
Sancerre’s leading producer, François Cotat is known for his idiosyncratic, age-worthy expressions of Sauvignon Blanc on Kimmeridgian soils, not to mention his prized rosé. Sometimes denied appellation status for their atypical style, these wines are some of the most collectable in the region.
