Dark crimson. Heady and chock-full of fruit. Maybe just a bit too extracted? I prefer the Boivins. This is pretty sweet! But the tannins are well polished. (JR)

The 2020 Marsannay Les Grasses Têtes has more delineation and finesse on the nose compared to the Les Boivins. The palate is ripe and fleshy, maybe just missing a little tension, though there is plenty of substance here, precocious blackberry and blueberry fruit, just pulling up a tad short on the finish though. Not bad overall.
