Score 84/100 · Drink 2021-2029, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Aug 2021

From clay-limestone hillsides and plateau vineyards exposed to the northeast and southwest in St Louans, the 2019 Chinon Les Chanteaux is a very aromatic Chenin Blanc with some artificial tropical fruit aromas on the loud and placative nose. Elegant and fresh on the palate, this is a medium to full-bodied, fruit-intense and mighty Chinon that leaves the palate a bit numb and the finish warm. A well-made crowd-pleaser that is easy to understand and easy to forget. 14% alcohol. Tasted in May 2021.
