2007 Fleurie Les Moriers

Game and red meat mingle with ripe black fruits and an aura of wood smoke in the nose of Chignard’s 2007 Fleurie Les Mories. A tactile as well as flavor dimension of brown spices inflects its rich fruit on the palate, and while (like the vintages on either side of it) this delightfully supple wine does not reach the level of richness, concentration, or structure possessed by Chignard’s 2005, it will certainly be worth following for 2-3 more years.
