Score 89/100 · Drink 2028-2060, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Mar 2023

The golden-colored 2016 Burg "Le vignoble féodal" shows a more classic bouquet with matured aromas of dried fruits and mushrooms. Pure and very fresh on the palate, this is a rather lean and high-acid vintage with too much sugar for my taste and less complexity compared to the following vintages. The wine is pure rather than textured, very fresh but not really rich and with lemon bitters on the finish. Rather Protestant, if I may say so. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in May 2022.
