FINE+RARE, Sep 2023
A blend of fruit from McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley, Padthaway, Wrattonbully and The Peninsulas, this 2019 St Henri Shiraz is a really elegant wine. There’s distinct Aussie ripeness to the fruit here – sweet, lush and ripe – but with a panache that few manage. With no new oak used for the wine, this is all about the purity of fruit, with juicy acidity, a chalky grip from the tannins and a long, mouth-watering, saline finish.
