Score 90/100 · Drink 2021-2031, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Jul 2022
Piuze's 2020 Bourgogne Tonnerre Les Boutots is a brilliant wine that punches well above its level, delivering plenty of Auxerrois character for a very modest tariff. Bursting with aromas of oyster shells, crisp orchard fruit and dried white flowers, it's medium-bodied, satiny and elegant, with lively acids and a long, saline finish. Buy it by the case!

The 2020 Bourgogne Tonnerre Les Boutots comes from south-facing vines. On the nose, this does not show the intensity of the Côtes d’Auxerre. The palate is fresh, with orange peel and peach and a touch of almond shavings, and nicely composed on the finish. It’s just compromised by the aromatics.
