FINE+RARE, Oct 2022
Clos de la Garenne is less mineral than Champ-Canet, typically producing wines with greater depth and roundness which works well with Puligny-Montrachet’s natural linearity. Layered with chalk, subtle spice and toast, it is more luscious and weightier than the other Premiers Crus, with a beautiful weight of white peach fruit. It’s concentrated with citrus juice, lemon rind and a long, sea-spray-scented finish. Just three barrels were made in 2021.
