Score 16/20 · Drink 2020-2022, Jancis Robinson MW, Oct 2021
Full screwcapped bottle 1,224 g. From estate vines at 200 to 230 metres above sea level. André van Rensburg and his winemaking team then selected parcels – which could be individual rows or fractions of blocks – for vinifying separately. So some were fermented in barrel, some in oak vat, some in concrete, and some in stainless-steel tank or even stainless-steel barrel. Pale greenish straw. So much appetising flavour here for the money! Bone-dry finish and masses of grassiness but good fruit in the middle. No point in ageing this bottle though. GV (JR)
