Score 91/100 · Drink 2015-2020, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Oct 2014

The 2012 Sancerre Les Romains (The Romans) could be your first choice when you like to learn how Sauvignon blanc from pure silex soils can taste without leaving you helpless. Aged in equal parts tank and barrel for at least 12 months this wine offers a deep, clear and bright aroma of white fruits along with floral and earthy flavors and still a hint of yeast and nuts. Full-bodied, clear and piquant on the palate this pure, powerful and salty Sancerre develops a serious complexity and length with lemon, lime and grapefruit aromas as well in the ethereal aftertaste.
