Tasting notes
The 2021 Bannockburn Pinot Noir is densely packed and powerful on the nose, with a cavalcade of red fruits, exotic spice (moving towards sumac) and peppercorns. In the mouth, the wine is spicy, exciting and full, with ripe fruit through the finish and a lick of raw cocoa. Supple and satisfying, this is a very good, consistent wine. Verging on lusty, it does show some restraint. 14% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

The 2021 Pinot Noir Bannockburn offers fine tension and sinew. I rather like it for being understated and having a corset of acidity and tannic tension around it. Sour red cherry, damson, wild herbs, a twist of nutmeg and it's all rather pleasing. Long, scented and excellent value with praiseworthy tannin quality.
Blend of their four Bannockburn vineyards. Earthy and interesting on the nose. Already open and sweet but with good structure. Great for current drinking, with real interest and freshness. At the moment I prefer this to Block 3. (JR)
