The 2017 Gewurztraminer Cuvée Anne Sélection de Grains Nobles was picked in Grand Cru Kessler. It is a selection of botrytized grapes picked in early December. The golden-hued wine shimmers with amber and is a picture of dried apricot and peach, with a lovely lift of botrytis and bright, glistening blossom honey. This is brilliant and sweet—a beautiful marvel of exquisite purity. Residual sugar is 165 g/L. (Luscious)

The yellow-gold colored 2017 Gewurztraminer Sélection de Grains Nobles Cuvée Anne opens with a very aromatic yet also coolish and savory bouquet of ripe and stewed stone fruit aromas with flinty and candied lemon and bitter orange tones intertwined with pastry notes with dried apricots. Rich and sweet as well as concentrated and savory on the palate, this is a viscous, textured and persistent SGN with a slatey and spicy finish reminiscent of a freshly sharpened pencil. 11.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in March 2023.
This is in an elite grade of SGN with such impressively rich and complex peach and mango aromas, as well as fresh and dried apricot. The palate has a super rich and ultra concentrated fruit core with a very assertive, linear drive of acidity that runs super deep into the very luscious finish. Superb. Drink or hold.
