Tasting notes
I loved the 2020 Condrieu. This quintessential Condrieu offers loads of peach and apricot fruit as well as white flower, honeysuckle, and chalky minerality, and it's beautiful on the palate, with classic Viognier richness and depth, medium body, and an impressive sense of freshness and purity. Drink it over the coming 2-4 years.

From 45-year-old vines from the lieux-dits Paton, Lys de Volan, La Bonnette, Rochecourbe, Les Rivoires and Merlant – quite a mixture! Aged for 10 months in new and one-year-old barrels. Light filtration. Already available. Rather joyous nose that’s classic Condrieu with blossom and dried-apricots aromas. Rich start but savoury at the end. Just very slightly smelling of the fermentation still but overall a success even if it lacks the complexity of the finest Condrieus. (JR)
White flowers, nectarines, dried mango, lemon curd and praline on the nose. Itâs full-bodied with caressing, concentrated layers of ripe stone fruit and nuts. Creamy, delicious and long. Drink or hold.
