Another success is the 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Champerrier, a lovely wine that wafts from the glass with scents of cherries, rose petals, warm spices and dark chocolate, framed by a deft application of oak. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, with good depth at the core, lively acids and a long finish. This is well worth seeking out.

Rich and polished and rather well balanced and attractive. Lots of integrity and future. Very firm. Good freshness. (JR)
