Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot. Bright crimson. Subtle pyrazines and a wine style that is almost absent from this Deep Down Under tasting! Firm young bordeaux blend – not nearly ready but all the elements are there. (JR)

The beautifully controlled and seamless 2018 Dry Red Wine No. 1 offers up well-proportioned aromas of blackcurrant and leaves, with subtle cedar and gravel starting to build. It's quite fresh, with a backbone of sinewy tannins providing good support for this lighter, elegant vintage. But have no fear, the 2018 will drink well for some time to come.
