Tasting notes
Again drawn from villages in the south and north, the 2020 Pinot Noir Réserve immediately speaks of the ripe vintage with tar and dark forest fruit notes. The palate has fine, ripe tannins and a lovely sinuous, flowing nature. Dense but without an ounce of fat. There is bright freshness and a darker, brooding aspect that sits well with the ripeness. Yet all remains streamlined. The finish is fresh and balanced, echoing with subtle tannin and cherry. (Bone-dry)

Sourced in Saint-Hippolyte, Rodern and Rorschwihr on granite soils and entirely destemmed and fermented very clean for a week, the 2020 Pinot Noir Réserve was aged in large oak vats for half a year and opens with an intensely aromatic and refreshing bouquet of red fruits and crushed stones. Silky textured, refined and elegant on the palate, this is a medium-bodied, aromatic and refreshing Pinot Noir with fine but firm tannin and acidity structure. Good length. 14% stated alcohol. Diam cork. Tasted in Barr, Alsace, in November 2022.
So much ripe sour-cherry aroma with a touch of licorice pull you into this well-structured pinot noir. The moderately dry tannins are welded to plenty of depth and lively acidity. Very good length, with quite some chalkiness at the long finish. Drink or hold.
