Tasting notes
Marcoux's 2021 Cotes du Rhone reflects the challenges of the vintage. From one hectare near the winery and another closer to Charvin, this blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre and 20% Syrah is only medium-bodied, with tart, ungenerous notes of pie cherries and hints of crushed stone. It's a decent drink, but shrewd consumers will look for the 2022 instead.

All from just across the border of Châteauneuf du Pape, the 2021 Côtes Du Rhône sports a medium ruby/purple color as well as a classic nose of peppery black cherries, garrigue, leather, and violets. It's balanced and has a classy, elegant mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish.
